We have come to the end of the week and our discussion of gratitude -- of being thankful to the Lord.

But that doesn’t mean our thankfulness has come to an end! In fact, it’s just beginning.

Psalm 107:1 says, "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever."

If you’re like many people, you are just starting your journey of discovering what it means to be truly grateful. That’s okay; we all have to start somewhere.

What is critical, though, is that you maintain this spirit of being grateful for the long term. Frankly, we owe that to our Lord. And He wants us to continue to receive His blessings and abundance.

In the last chapters of the Book of Revelation, the end of the Bible, we find John just relishing the good things God is providing for His children. A renewed Eden. A beautiful city lit by the love of God. Wonderful reunions, and a promise that Jesus will give grace to His people.

God is good, and the future is good. Thank God for it!

Let’s pray. Lord, life is hard sometimes, but your mercy and grace are always with us. Thank you, thank you for your grace. Amen.
